Welcome to Little Voices

Little Voices is a story-led early-literacy programme where children learn English through characters, imagination and play.

Every unit begins with an original anchor book featuring Nia, Pip and Benny. The story then opens into many ways of learning: children can look, listen, point, speak, move, build, read, draw and begin writing. Sound work, comprehension, vocabulary and grammar all grow naturally from the same adventure.

Little Voices is designed to travel. A learner in Sweden can build English alongside Swedish. A learner in Uganda can build English alongside a familiar local language. Children are encouraged to use what they already know as a bridge into new language—not leave it behind.

The activities can be used in connected classrooms, low-resource schools or at home. Many require only a pencil, paper, chalk or safe everyday objects.
